Legerclad

LegerClad

Legerclad is an insulation made of type-2 expanded polystyrene covered with a Typar air barrier. On top of its insulation value, Legerclad thus provides the protection of a barrier that prevents air infiltration while allowing humidity to escape from the wall cavity.

When installed in accordance with our guidelines, Legerclad used on exterior walls conforms to the standards contained in the National Building Code (NBC) and the Regulation respecting energy conservation in new buildings. Legerclad is available in several standard sizes: (4 ft. × 9 ft. and 4 ft. × 8 ft.) with a thickness of (1 in. [R-4.05], 1 1/2 in. [R-6.05], 2 in. [R-8.1] or 2 1/4 in. [R-9.1]).
